February 25, 2-4pm: Blumen- Strauss – Flower Bouquet
Experience the European tradition of hand tied bouquets and learn how to create classic and unique designs that will stand and stand out! A 2-hour hands-on workshop , limited to 6 participants. Materials will be provided, bring your own tools if possible.
April 1, 10am-1pm: April Fools
April fools at the workshop, beware! Think bulbs, eggs, and new beginnings! Celebrate nature and its growth with fresh design ideas on your tables. This is a 3 hour workshop, materials will be provided, please bring your own tools if available, all levels welcome.
May 12, 1-3pm: Got Peonies?
Grab your mom, your sister, your friend, your daughter, or just come and join us for a 2 hour workshop at the barn. Treat yourself to create a lovely display with the most amazing local and seasonal peonies. We will be working with old glass bottles and jars, and transform them with glass enamel and sand into bottled beauties and fill them with peonies, anemonies and other delicate floral materials.
August 14, 5-7pm : Summer in Fog City
A workshop that will dive into colors ,- a sure remedy for all the foggy days in the Bay Area in August! Come and take the plunge with us and create the most colorful design you can think of. A 2 hour long workshop, space is limited to 10 , materials will be provided , please bring your own tools and wear “old” clothes, you might get color too!
October 16, 5-7pm: Fresh from the Farm!
Urban farming meets urban floral décor! join us for farm fresh flowers and produce at the barn. Meet Chestnut & Vine’s very own ducks and chickens, who will be happy to entertain you while you are working on a fresh take on “old materials”. This will be a 2 hour long workshop, space is limited to 6, materials will be provided, ducks and chickens are not included!
November 4, 11am-1pm: Wintervegnuegen 2012
come and join our annual winter workshop and get ready for the Holidays. New ideas will wait for you while working on century old traditions. We can’t provide snow, but everything else and are looking forward to a 2 hour long workshop with a limited guest list of 6.
December 1, 9am-4pm: Something old, something new, something borrowed , something ....YOU !
We are excited to present you with our very first all day seminar! The list of design ideas is always long and our time is always running away. This workshop will present you with the opportunity to create wedding décor and learn new techniques. We will focus on how to create event décor with a unique touch that will capture the desire of your clients to make the big day their very own.
Materials and lunch will be provided; please bring your own tools. Space is limited, please make sure to register early. Venue to be announced – we would like to surprise you!
